Carpet stains can be difficult for the novice carpet cleaner. The ability to remove stains really separates a true professional carpet cleaner from the rest. There is a difference between a spot and a stain. Most spots can be removed if done properly. There are a few concerns when removing carpet spots and stains. Spots are usually something on the surface of the fiber. a stain is when that substance has added coler to the carpet fiber. Knowing the type of spot and stain is very important to successful removal. The composition of the carpet and the spot affects the removal process as well. Example: We have a nylon carpet with a red drink stain. We can remove the stain but there is a high risk of removing the carpet dye as well due to the process needed to remove the stain. This is actually a great illustration of why many carpet cleaners will say they cannot remove this stain. Here at Stearns Cleaning, we let the client make that decision. If there is risk of color loss in the stain removal process we will inform you ahead of time and let you know your options. In this case, we could remove the stain and offer to dye the spot if it got bleached out from the stain removal.
Cat Vomit, Red Drinks, and other dye colors from drinks, Grease, Paint, Pet stains, Coffee Stains, Gum, Oil stains, Makeup, Toner, Ink Stains, Mustard Bleach Spots, and Tar. These are just some that we have encountered.
Every Spot and stain situation is different and will need to be assessed.
